Wow! Simply, Wow! Two day turnaround, world's best prices, order fulfilled correctly, free shipping. Wow!+++++I ordered again this holiday through Abt.....can it get better? Yes! I ordered a Sony CD Alarm Set through Abt, best price on the internet by $10! Ordered on a Sunday night, on my doorstep on Wednesday. Did I mention Free Shipping???++++++++Abt is A#1!!!!!+++++++++++++++++++
I was getting frustrated. My wonderful Weber Genesis Gas grill needed new flavorizer bars, as the old ones were rusting out from too much winter use and Wisconsin weather. I really try to shop locally when I can, as these are the folks who help the non-profits, donate time and services to the community, support the scouts and Little League programs, and provide jobs and welfare for the area. I started my quest at the local True Value hardware store.
The store is locally owned, a smaller store, but an authorized Weber dealer. Flavorizer bars? Plenty of them, they mentioned when I called. Stopped by, filled up my propane tank, purchase the "Genesis" Weber flavorizer bars for $29.99 and went home. The bars promptly fell to the bottom of the grill, as they were too small, wrong size. back to True Value, checked out the other size as they needed to be an inch or so longer. Must be model, 9811! OK, take 'em home, clank, bottom of the grill again! Oh fer two!
Being the rocket scientist that I am, now I take out the directions. Oh......I need model 9813 with 13 of the flavorizer bars, 5 of the large, 8 of the small. Even though all thirteen do not need replacing, I now feel this is a good idea. Called True Value, they can order, about two weeks. Sorry, I want a steak this week. Called a local flower and garden center and yes! They had model 9813 on hand! They even held it for me, however, I failed to ask one question. How much for the model 9813 Weber Grill accessory replacement flavorizer bars. They were a modest $89.99 for stainless steel, $69.99 for enamel. Hmmm.....
Off to Home Depot, $79.99 for stainless, no enamel, off to K-mart, Wal-Mart, Fleet-Farm, Lowe's, Ace Hardware, and Jim's Bar-Be-Que Supply house and got the big squat-ola. None in stock. Now, I am on a mission.
No steak tonight but I will check Weber's website. All right! $59.99 plus shipping. Not bad, but still, I can go back to the garden center and cook out tonight. The lowest other price, through Shopping.com was $42.00 plus shipping, through E-wins.com. However, ABT Electronics was listed as a "featured" lisiting. This section contains paid listings which have been purchased by companies that want to have their sites appear for specific search terms and related content.
I recalled ABT Electronics as part of the MySony promotion, and thought being on Shopping.com and 4 1/2 stars on Epinions, I'll check out the prices and selection.
First, to ABT's website. Easy search, up came ABT's "The Weber Store" and part number 9813, short description, with the magic words, "In-Stock."
Second, the price was a knock-out, shut up, unbelievable $40!!! Or $2 less than the other low internet price and nearly $20 less than the local stores. Lowest price anywhere. Ok, what is the catch?
Third, free shipping. No way, yes, way. Free shipping. It mentioned free UPS shipping. Must be when the truck arrives for another delivery or something, no one offers free shipping on most orders. Yes, ABT offered free shipping. They did charge me Wisconsin state sales tax, which is all right.
Fourth, delivery date. As Chicagoland is Baja Wisconsin, delivery can be quick, but I placed the order on a Sunday, March 26 and the package was on my doorstep on Tuesday, March 28 by noon. Did I mention free UPS shipping? There must be an ABT sales guy who lives in our village, as I have no other explanation.
Fifth, website is easy to use and navigate. Search engine is direct, one search, up came the Weber Store and the model of the flavorizer bars. An email confirmation arrived within minutes.
ABT Electronics has other Weber accessories, but the price is close to the local outlets, and with the $20 plus shipping I saved, I purchased from local merchants some other items, so everyone benefitted. ABT also included a flyer, for some of their other items, but I do not need a $300 professional series toaster at this time. However, did I mention free shipping!
If my first experience at Abt Electronics online store is any indication, I will keep coming back! Low prices, free shipping, unbelievably fast, and in-stock!
