I got this hub for only $5 after rebate, so I figured that I couldn't go wrong. I was correct.

The hub was extremely easy to set up right out of the box. Just plug it into an outlet, plug in your computers, and that's it. Of course there is some minimal knowledge of networking necessary, but that is true of any hub.

I use the hub at school for internet connection sharing. It allows multiple users to share the same network connection, as long as your connection is an RJ-45 connection (the one that looks like an oversized telephone cord). It has come in handy many times when having a group of people over with laptops, all being able to connect together.

While this hub is a poor substitute for a 10/100 switch in heavy duty applications, it does a very adequate job for a low price.
