I've been a customer of Performance for 23 years and I've spent many thousands of dollars with them and probably have placed more than 50 orders, so this isn't a one-time experience. The orders are always accurately filled. Many years ago, they were terrible at keeping enough items in inventory, but in recent years, they're quite good about that.
I absolutely cannot understand how anyone could have a problem with their customer service. They will take anything back, if you're unhappy, and they've never caused me a problem. Case in point: I once ordered a batch of their tubular tires, and I repeatedly got flats. I sent them all back, including the used, punctured ones, and I received a full refund plus a gift certificate!
There isn't any time constraint, either. If you're unhappy two years later, they'll take back your item. They've never refused a return or caused any problems, and I've returned many items. I've never had a late order, and their tech staff is very knowledgeable. You do have to call tech if you want answers since the regular order people know nothing about bikes.
I've also challenged their prices many times with competing ads, and they've never refused to give me the lower price.
Do watch their Performance-brand items, though. Some are very high quality, and some are cheap. But if you don't like it, send it back! Performance is easily the best company I've ever dealt with, and Nashbar is a close second.
