I am reviewing the UNIX 1000 package, not one of the NT ones. I am pointing that out because it appears as if Epinions may present it that way. Just wanted to make everything clear. Why would anyone host on NT anyway?
Having come from the horrors of dealing with addr.com (incompetence at a higher level than I thought possible) I looked for a host that had all the features I needed. I used an online host index and kept my search to the $15 price I had paid previously. I wanted at least 300MB of space, a decent traffic limit, unlimited email forwarders and at least 10 pop accounts. Other features I desired include a control panel, full telnet/shell and ftp access, quality stats set-up and full SSI/CGI/Perl/Miva and PHP support.
I had problems finding all I needed, everytime I seemed close I would find hidden catches (my favorite a $4 a month charge for a custom 404 error page - I still can't believe that company). Trying a different tactic I increased my price level to $20 and that is when I found OCHosting.com. They had a special, a 1000MB UNIX account for $19.95. Yes a gig of space for under 20 bucks. That wasn't all they had everything I need and more. Lets start with unlimited pop accounts with a built in webmail script. Give all your friends a pop3mail account at your domain with smtp server and access by webmail.
Add in a ton of scripts pre-installed including chat, streaming real audio/video, auctions, forms, BBS and more. In fact the package itself is A-1 and they provide set-up in 4 hours or less. Still the real test of a company is their support. Well they promise 99.95 uptime, and so far it has been damn near that. They also provide 24/7 888 free tech support and an email/ticket system that rocks. They gaurantee a response within 12 hours. If you are not happy with the answer you can take your ticket number and get straight to their second level. I also saw if you want to resell that you can pay for a package where they will answer the phone as you. So start your own hosting service and have your customer have immediate access to a branded 24/7 tech support helpdesk.
I could go on and on. I won't, just take it from me give their website a visit and see just how good web hosting can be.
