The Bottom Line: At an affordable 1600 dollars you receive a computer that will last you beyond the 2 years a regular computer usually lasts.
The Dell 8100 is the only way to go. After researching different desktop computer for about two month I took the plunge when Intel dropped the price of the P4. For a modest 1600 dollars I received a Pentium 4 running at 1.7 ghz with 128 rdram. Dell was super fast in delivering the system to me in only 6 days. Set up was very easy with color coded wires and a fold out poster with step by step directions. I can't report on the quality of the Tech support because I have had no need for it. The Pentium 4 is great for running multimedia and games and about the same as a P3 with other programs.
