Brett - fantastic observation on the name, that hadn't actually occurred to me! :-O
Peggy - yeah the Fire God scene was funny. So was Scratt but a bit too much of him and Sid I think.

I think too much time was devoted to Scrat. I did rather enjoy the fire god scene with Sid and the "mini-sloths". As a sequel, pretty good.
My kids I think enjoyed the preview for the upcoming Garfield movie. :-)

This was a remarkably restrained and concise review, BOTH of which I appreciated. Your teaser regarding Ellie--bravo! Although heh think about her name for just a sec... I also noted and appreciated the rich and unique interaction between the Queen Latifah and Ray Romano characters, which had a broader, subtler, and more universal message than simple humor or romance.

Seeing as how the first one felt fresh and seemed to just pop.. I can imagin how the second one would not be as good. But glad to see that it was not better.. but still worthy.
