Thanks for this opinion. I have been looking at and playing Taylors in shops for about 4 years now and though I understood the model number, etc., I didn't quite get the differences in the top woods, and their overall sound quality. I have long preferred the 614 over more expensive models, and now I understand why. I'm getting ready to buy, and I can't wait to get my new Taylor. Thanks again,
