As with most cell phone service, location is everything. Sprint has huge holes where you would expect coverage.

Many pockets in Jax are without coverage. San Marco, Beaches, Spots on Atlantic and spots in Mandarin have practically no service. Sprint is not about to invest "One million dollars per tower" to fix these problem spots.

We travel to many major cities and Jax has the worst Sprint coverage. Seattle has very few "dead" spot in comparison. Sprint has increased their capacity in Jax to alleviate the "fast busy signals" due to overloading.

Sprint's administrative systems are poor. Trying to pay our bill on-line usually requires 2-3 attempts. Their web site is down frequently.

On the plus side, long distance and digital roaming are free within the covered areas. Be careful to check that you are in digital mode, not digital roam or analog roam. Charges will skyrocket in those cases.
