Pros:small, affordable
Cons:noisy, low moisture output
The Bottom Line: Would not recommend this unit to anyone, shop around for something better.
Shopping around for a cool air humidifier because our old one broke, we came across this unit thinking it would be perfect. The size seemed just what we were looking for, small and compact, perfect for the top of a dresser, and the prize was right. The box read "quiet motor", and it said it had a lid that locks for safety...great. We purchased two, one each for our daughters rooms.
After setting up the unit, right before bedtime, the first problem I came across was that the lid did not snap in securely like the box mentioned, I could still lift it up without a problem. Then I plugged the unit in, and was waiting for what was described as a "quiet motor" to kick in. I was surprised that this much noise could come out of such a little thing.
Holding my hand right in front of the unit as it was running, I also noticed that the moisture output seemed low, not like some other models I have seen. I didn't have a choice but to let both of them run all night because both girls have a cold, but today I will wash both units out and return them to the store to look for another model.
