Buying used or refurbished notebooks: The answer to portable connectivity on a shoe string budget

This is a low cost solution for mobile computing. There are deals out there but as with any computer purchase, buyer beware.

Great info! I bought a used Dell PC from Used-PCs.com (P4 2.8/2GB RAM) for under $200. After downloading an unnecessary update from Dell site, I caused a software issue which I was unable to resolve on my own. Called Used-PCs.com about a refund (assuming I couldn't fix the problem) and they spent 2+ hours on the phone with me helping me resolve my screw-up. System is now fine and I have never been more pleased with a product (for the price) or experienced customer as good as provided by the staff at Used-PCs.com in Austin, TX. Highly recommend considering them for your refurbed computer needs!

Hi DeRango, long time no see.

I have to disagree with you bro, this little laptop is doing things just fine. Check this out...

It is running Windows ME, Office 2000 Premium and Adobe Photoshop as well as my digital camera software. I forgot to mention in my review it also has 2 USB ports. This little gem does anything I need to do on the road except play (newer) games. I have successfully installed and ran Diablo (the original) and the original Age of Empires. I do need a bigger hard drive for it though, I always have to carry the installation CD's for some programs because there is not enough room on the drive to keep all this installed at once.

Thanks for reading man,

Gr8ful :-)
