In a lot of ways What on Earth reminds me of the Discovery Store because it carries such a wide variety of things. From the name of the site you might think that it just deals with earthy type products or things that are eco friendly; they do carry such items but they arent limited to hemp, incense and tree hugger wares. They carry things for pets [including a few cute dog treat dispensers], clothing, garden accessories, stuff for the kitchen and one of my favorite sections; t shirts. You can spend a good hour there reading through the shirts and trust me, some of them are so funny you will be peeing your pants. If you like to scout for bargains, be sure to check out the clearance section, you never know what they are going to have there. The site has a lot of off the wall stuff, nothing that I would personally consider offensive or controversial but definitely not stuff that you would come across while trolling the aisles at Wal-Mart. If you cant find something to give as a gift, try using the quick find option. As far as kids are concerned, you can find some cool stuff for the teens and tweens as well as the younger crowd.
One section of the site that I really love poking around at is the clothing section. When I first starting going to the site I thought all they had were t-shirts but they have sweats, sleep shirts, dresses [none that I would wear but dresses nonetheless], kids clothing and some of the funniest slogans Ive seen. So far I havent come across any thing I would personally consider offensive but Im not exactly the squeakiest clean of people when it comes to this kind of stuff. This section gives you a r really good indication of how the whole site is broken up; there are a lot of different ways to search - price, style, age, size etc. I was thinking of getting a few of the dog bone dispensers for the doxies but if they figured out how to get the bones out of it [hit the bone on the front of it and one drops out] they would be fatter than they are now. Suffice it to say, if you are looking for a unique gift for someone and arent have luck finding anything locally, this is a great site to bookmark and visit often. There is no outside pop up advertising, the images are enlargable and customer service is extremely knowledgeable.
Purchases
Ive made more than a few purchases from this site but the one that stands out the most is the Carnivorous Creature Terrarium Kit. If the name sounds a little scary, just wait. Its an incredible terrarium of killer plants, yes, killer plants. You can have you own Little Shop of Horrors is you get one of these. Not only is it educational but its pretty fun to see something get devoured. For about thirty dollars you can get your own kit thats easy to set up and something that will have most kids completely enthralled. Another awesome thing is the Yoda backpack. You arent a Star Wars fan unless you have Yoda on your back. This isnt something that I use a lot because people give me weird looks, youd think Id be used to that by now. It is a little pricey but its well worth it if you are a Star Wars fanatic. One thing that I got from the site that I adored were my Godzilla slippers. These arent the cheap knock off ones that they sell at Wal-mart, these had a lot of detail and color to them. Stupid me put them outside to dry after they were washed and someone stole them. To me that is just creepy, would you want to wear someone elses slippers? I wanted to order another pair but the last few times Ive been to the site they have been out of them.

Shipping Fees
The most you will ever pay for standard shipping is $13.45 and that covers purchase amounts over one hundred dollars. Base shipping is $3.95 for items up to ten dollars. Shipping fees arent that bad but to get the most from it, see if others want to place orders with you so you can save money on the fees. There are some larger or oversized items that may cost you a little more to have delivered but if you do come across anything like that, it is clearly notes. Please note: residents in Ohio and Minnesota may have to pay appropriate sales tax. Most of the time my orders arrive a day before I am expecting them, there was one item that was back ordered and I received email updates letting me know exactly when they expected it back in stock as well as when it shipped out to me.
Return Policy
You can make a return or exchange at any time on purchases that are not personalized; if they make an error in the personalized item then they will correct the mistake and send you a new item. Ive never had to make a return to the site but it is nice to know that they have an open ended policy on it. On a side note, customer service is exceptional. When I was having a little bit of trouble with the Carnivorous Creature Terrarium Kit and called them, I didnt get transferred around to ten different people and the girl that took my call was able to help me out with it. To me that means a lot; I dont want to have to deal with sitting on hold or having someone sit there and read the instruction manual to me when I have it right in front of me. Make sure that you keep your shipping papers and packing slip in case you need to make a return, if memory serves me correctly I think there is a different address that you have to send things back to than the one that is listed for their business address.
The Bottom Line
If all online store and sites operated like this, chances are I would never leave the house. They ship things promptly and dont gouge you on the fees, the site is easy to navigate through and has just enough information about the products that they are selling. The return policy cant be beat, most places offer you thirty days to make a return and some of them less than that. I was hoping that they would sell gift certificates but so far I havent come across them at the site; they will gift bag items for an additional fee. I always forget to ask if they have gift certificates when I call to ask about an item. This is a site that has always provided me with quick shipping, high quality goods and awesome prices. Theres something for everyone so if you are looking for the special gift for someone, give them a try, I can almost guarantee that you wont be disappointed.
As always, thanks for the read!
