Please avoid these games (Bad games Write off)

The Bottom Line Bad games are everywhere. Rent a game in question first!
"I'm angry as hell and I'm not gonna take it anymore writeoff"
I'm here to warn people about some of the worse game I ever played in my life! I did a personal Top Five worse list for the Nintendo64, Sony Playstation, Gameboy, Sega Dreamcast and even the old 8-bit NES. This is a 'How NOT to choose a miscellaneous game review'!
Nintendo 64:
Anyone who hates a game machine has probably plays the wrong games right from the start. For example, these N64games!
StarSoldier's top five worse n64 Games:
5. KNIFE EDGE (Kemco, 1998)
Here is a stupid light gun game with no light gun to support it. This game reminds me of an non-interactive version of Star Fox 64. "OK?! WHY KEMCO?"
4. SOUTH PARK RALLY (Acclaim, 2000)
What a confusing kart racer. Take a really great idea for a game and add a bunch of boring rules and limits to the gameplay to ruin any fun somebody would have had. "Why is everybody copying Mario Kart all of a sudden?"
3. HEY YOU PIKACHU (Nintendo/Game Freak, December 10, 2000)
Bbboorring! BBbrorringg! What sounds like an innovative idea turns into an exercise of tedious teaching of a cute yellow rat. I feel so stupid talking into the mic that comes with the game and the Pikachu creature doesn't respond half the time it seems. If that wasn't bad enough the game is really slow paced and doesn't even look that great (come on, the N64 can do better than this). Maybe kids will like it but I doubt it. This game should be called FU Pikachu!
2. BATMAN BEYOND (UBIsoft, 2000)
Again Boring! I really hate these licensed Final Fight clones. Even worse, you can't save your progress at all.
1. HEXEN 64 (GT Interactive, 1997)
Wonder around in very crappy looking Doom-like dungeons with out of date sprite based looking enemies. None of the advanced N64's smoothing techniques were used and even the frame rate blows. Leave it in the discount bins where it belongs.
PlayStation:
There are well over 700 games for the hit Sony game machine but they can't all be winners you know. I'm sure there are even worse games than my Top Five here but I have yet to play them. "If you know any others that belong here then please warn me!"
StarSoldier's top five worse Playstation Games:
5. TOMB RAIDER III: The adventures of Lara Croft (Eidos, 1998)
Weaker controls (the new analog control option is useless) , glitchy graphics, and even more boring levels than before are killing this series off....... fast. Part III is the worst of the five PSone titles in my opinion. Awful, just awful!
4. LOADED (Interplay, 1995)
No story, no bosses, just mindless shooting action that just goes on forever. Loaded is a rushed Playstation title with only the game's gore used as a selling point!
3. RISE 2 (Acclaim, 1996)
The slow robotic fighter that is too hard to control and has very long loading times. This is the sequel to Rise of the Robots............... the sequel nobody wanted!
2. WCW THUNDER (THQ, January 1999)
Awesome wrestler intros, really sucky controls. The actually in game graphics look extremely dated when compared to WWF No Mercy on N64 or the Playstation Smackdown series. This is why people hate WCW. This awful game actually bumped off The Legend of Zelda: OOT from the top of the sales charts in January 1999, which is proof that a game doesn't have to be good to sell well (much like Tomb Raider III).
1. PSYCHIC DETECTIVE (EA, 1995)
Watch a low budget movie and investigate people who may be murderers. One of the best Full Motion Video games in history! The game still sucks.
GameBoy:
Surprisingly, some of the worse Gameboy games are actually some of the most popular ones as well. Just because a game is great on another system doesn't always mean it's gonna be great on Gameboy.
StarSoldier's top five worse Gameboy Games:
5. STREET FIGHER II (Nintendo/Capcom, 1994)
With only two buttons on the Gameboy itself, choppy animation, and only 9 fighters, this is not really worth picking up. This is the worse version of Street Fighter II I can think of! I wish there was NES version instead of this awful fighter on Gameboy.
4. PAC MAN (Namco, 1992)
It just does not feel the same in black & white despite sounding the same. I actually liked the awful Atari 2600 version better than this.
3. BLASTER MASTER BOY (Sunsoft, 1991)
Another bitter disappointment from this series. Plays like a hard to control game of Bomberman and not Blaster Master on NES which wouldn't be so bad if the game wasn't so slow. Not a fun game at all.
2. MORTAL KOMBAT 4 (Midway, 2000)
Some games just don't belong on a 8-bit system. The Mortal Kombat series is one of them. Don't expect any lightning fast arcade action here!
1. DOUBLE DRAGON 3 (Acclaim, 1993)
The enemies rule in this game, but you don't. The first time I played this the enemies just drop kick you all the time and there is little you can actually do about it, the game never did get any easier for me nor did it ever get fun to play. An awful game with poor programming.
Sega Dreamcast:
I have over 30 DC games and I have played my fair share of bad games for this 128-bit machine.
StarSoldier's top five worse DC Games:
5. WWF ROYAL RUMBLE (THQ, July 2000)
Here is a simple arcade style wrestling game with basis and mindless controls and shallow game play. Select from a simple One on One Arcade Mode to a somewhat better Royal Rumble Mode with up to 9 people in the ring at once. There is NO create a player option, NO career mode, NO Dudleys boyz, NO Chris Benoit, and many more wrestlers are not in this game either. This is a bitter disappointment.
4. SEGA SMASH PACK VOLUME 1 (Sega, 2001)
If there one CD than is too overrated, it's Sega Smash Pack Vol. 1! Although you get twelve great classics on one GD-Rom disc, 10 of them are emulated, and rather poorly I might add. The emulated games are old Genesis/Mega Drive hits;
Sonic the Hedgehog- weaker sound
Wrestle War- almost unplayable now
Streets of Rage 2- goofy sound effects
Revenge of Shinobi- poor new music
VectorMan- slower game play
Golden Axe- horrible new music
Columns- again the music sucks
Phantasy Star II- a tad slower
and Shining Force- also has poor new music
First in Golden Axe and Columns, the music is absolutely horrible and belongs on the Sega Master system. Second in the games like Wrestle War and Sonic the Hedgehog you can see tons of errors like failed transparencies and choppier animation than their 16-bit counterparts. The extra games Sega Swirl and Virtua Cop 2 are keeping this from being number 1.
3. ECW HARDCORE REVOLTUTION (Acclaim, 2000)
This is really Acclaim's WWF Attitude from 1999 but now it's under a different wrestling company fewer people would know about. The gameplay is still very chucky and the controls are out of date. Rob Van Dam, Raven, Mike Awesome, Taz, and Tommy Dreamer look nothing like the real thing.
2. TIME STALKERS (Sega, 2000)
This is a sorry excuse for a Action/RPG. The characters designs look awful and the heroes lose their experience per dungeon. The game is very poor and not very fun to play. Best to leave it in the discount bin.
1. GUNBIRD 2 (Capcom, 2000)
The virtually unplayable arcade shooter that's litters the screen with bullets that are impossible to avoid in the later levels. There are no shields and the story is very strange and will not appeal to anyone. "This game is bound to build up a lot dust if you don't get my warning first!"
Playstation2
I only have one game here but you should still avoid it!
ONI (Rockstar, 2001)
Remember when people were actually looking forward to this game? I will admit that the anime cutscenes are cool but it just goes downhill of there. This is a tough to control 3D action title starring a cool looking babe with guns.
The levels are overall not very exciting despite being in the future and the re-aiming of the gun gets very annoying. You also HAVE to use the whole controller if you wanna get anything done on your missions. Rent it first before you believe any of the hype surrounding this overrated title.
Nintendo Entertainment System (NES):
I could have stopped at there but I thought I would include one of my classic lists as well just for fun. It wasn't easy picking the five worse but these ones are the games that made me sick.
StarSoldier's top five worse NES Games:
5. MASTER CHU AND THE DRUNKEN HU (Color Dreams)
Here is a hard to control Asian action game that's not as fun has it sounds. At least it's a rare find though.
4. HYDLIDE (FCI, 1989)
Yikes! I thought no RPG looked worst than Dragon Warrior, I was wrong. The touch a enemy gameplay sucks too and the music really gets on your nerves!
3. RAID ON BUNGLING BAY (Borderbund)
Play a hard to control Helicopter as you bomb various cities. The repetitive music and the constant flickering graphics place this near the bottom of the heap. Bad and I mean BAD!
2. TOTAL RECALL (Acclaim/Interplay, 1989)
Dear God no! Total Recall is a annoying action game, based on the hit Movie of the same name, that feels like you're going nowhere fast all the time. The game even tries to rip off some of Arnold's other movies like Terminator, which just adds to the poor look of the game. This game is legendary for being one of the worse games ever made. Pick it up for a good laugh if it's cheap.
1. SILENT SERVICE (Ultra, March 1990)
This is a super boring submarine simulation with terrible graphics and slow game play. It's just not my type of game and I'm sure I'm not the only one who hates these games. Who wants to play a sub Sim anyways? Of all the bad games on here, Silent Service is the worse in my epinion!
Bottomline:
Whoa! I hope in some way I can help you to avoid some of the bad video games out there with my 20 plus years of experience. If you're not sure about a game it's always best to rent it first before you lay down the serious cash. Don't be afraid to tell me some other bad ones that belong here too. Later!
