We loved Ameriquest!

Pros: Greg Carbone - ask for him by name if you're in southern NH.
Cons: none yet
The Bottom Line: I don't know about other people and their situations - the mortgage biz varies widely and so do its customers - but Ameriquest did right by us.

My husband Jim and I recently refinanced our house with Ameriquest and received very fine service from your loan officer Greg Carbone. From the first few minutes I dealt with him via my phone call, I felt comfortable with him. His easygoing but always professional manner put both my husband and me at ease. If he was not able to answer a questions right away, he immediately told us that he would find out and get right back to us, and he did so with amazing efficiency and speed. He also was able to anticipate questions and concerns we might have and deal with them right up front. We never felt that we were out of the loop or being dealt with in anything less than a completely forthright manner. He kept us appropriately apprised at every juncture of the refinancing process with phone calls and/or faxes, without overwhelming us with attention. So far, everything has occurred just as he said it would, all of it falling into place without snags or holdups. It was so easy that it almost felt like we were waiting for the other shoe to drop but so far there is no indication that anything like that might occur.
I admit I did feel some trepidation when I went to Epinions.com and read some of the commentary about Ameriquest, and I know that there are many many offices throughout the U.S. and many different types of people staffing them, and while some people had a bad experience, many like me had a great one. We had gotten a quote from another company and weren't happy with the process, so we know there are companies out there that are less than stellar. If they had been as fortunate to hire Greg as a loan officer as I believe Ameriquest is, they might have much more satisfied customers.
Greg has a great attention to detail and "service after the sale," as he has already helped us out with a couple of issues that arose after we signed everything and received our check (but nothing that arose out of his having done anything wrong). I could not have asked for a finer experience than we had with Greg at Ameriquest.
I also appreciated very much the handwritten thank-you note that Greg wrote - it's a nice touch that does not go unnoticed in this day and age of emailed thank-you notes.
Again, our thanks and appreciation for a job well done, from two very satisfied customers.
