Having clippers in your home is wonderful. You can cut hair at your convenience. This has three different guide attachments. First you comb the hair than trim around the sides of the head using the biggest guide attachment. Than cut in a straight upward direction with the clippers against the scalp. If you find that you want it shorter you can move down to the next size attachment. You can get an even closer cut without using any guide attachments. My boys like having a real short cut for the summer. Also this can be used to cut side burns and the back of the neck area. We got our clippers as a gift but I think it would be well worth buying them if we had to. I know a lot of people who use this product and I haven't heard any complaints. It's easy and fun to use. It doesn't make much sound either. We gave our son his first hair cut when he was a little over a year old and he wasn't scared at all.
