Being the kind of person who doesn't like to go along with the crowd, I resisted buying the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser for just a little over a year. Then someone gave me two of them, so I figured, "Why not give it a chance?".
The walls & door in the hallway outside my apartment are painted white, but who can tell, they are so yucky dirty! We also had a huge black smudge of I do not know what on the wood door. So one morning I pulled out the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and went to work. I cleaned all 3 white walls, the white door, and the big black smudge off the wood door. WOW! They looked great!
I had to put quite a bit of elbow grease into cleaning the walls and door, but in all fairness to the Magic Eraser, they were really filthy. We moved into our apartment in December, and I don't think the walls or door had been cleaned in years. The walls & door may still need a coat of white paint, just to freshen them up, but they won't need a a major overhaul.
The only thing I need to tell you is that the Magic Eraser left a white residue on the wood door, which I rinsed with clear water, and it came right off. The black smudge on the door was black crayon from our upstairs neighbors' 2 year old grand-daughter's drawing adventure.
It took 2 Magic Erasers to tackle the entire job, and I was surprised I didn't need to go out and buy 2 more to finish up. I was very pleased with the amount of work I was able to accomplish with the two Magic Erasers.
