I used Amazon.com's Wishlist to purchase a birthday gift for my sister from Beach Audio. Beach Audio initially showed promise in both sending out notifications of shipment and shipping immediately after placing the order...but then it was all downhill from there. Its delivery service made only ONE pathetic delivery attempt, to the wrong address even, and then returned the item to its store. They never advised me of the shipping problem. Three weeks later, I discover the birthday present never got to my sister. I tracked the item, saw the pathetic attempt they made to deliver the item, and I called them up immediately but they were closed. So I emailed them. The next business day, I call them again and the woman I spoke to was very rude from the get-go. She tells me that they issued a refund earlier that morning (of course, ignoring my email request for a re-send and just refunding me only the price of the item). I asked her to re-ship the item, but she refused. She tells me that I need to re-order from Amazon. I told her that her delivery guy made only one attempt and delivered to the wrong address, and she tells me that I've got the address wrong, like I wouldn't know my own sister's address. She doesn't respond when I ask her why her guy only tried one attempt and failed to leave a notice giving my sister the option of picking up the item herself from a delivery center. I couldn't believe the gall of this woman trying to blame it on my sister, and I tell her repeatedly that it's the correct address. Oh, the refund? The cost of the item only. They refused to refund me $15 for shipping/handling on an unbelievably lame single delivery attempt to the wrong address -- all of which was Beach Audio's fault. Nice. So, a botched delivery attempt, screwed me on the shipping/handling, and rude customer service. Strong start, lousy finish. I prefer a seller that tries to get the job done right, not just done quickly.
