The Bottom Line Such a big array of options...makes one wonder why it isn't at least two programs. Low rewards, but not really a lot of work.

myecom.net is definitely one of the more puzzling programs out there in the pay-to-surf industry. It is several programs on one:
1) A get-paid-to-surf-the-net program
2) A get-paid-to-click program
3) A downline builder assistant.
4) A promotion tool
I can't say that I'm an expert in the program yet. I've been involved in many pay-to-surf (PTS) programs over the past two years, and this one still baffles me a little. Perhaps it's the terrible online documentation. It starts off talking about overflows and matrixes, something the average user is not going to understand. Then it goes even deeper into affiliate programs, but never really gives a basic idea of what it actually is (which apparently has changed over the months, so it's possible even myecom.net doesn't have a clue). I'll do my best to explain here.
One thing it allows is a place to hold all your referral id's for various other PTS programs. Initially, once you had a myecom.net referral, that referral would sign up under you for every other program, but that doesn't appear to be the case now.
It does allow you to post your web site, and others can view it. I'm not sure exactly how it works, but presumably this allows you to get advertising hits, thanks to other members (whom you supposedly click on their sites as a "thank you").
For those of you that are purely interested in making money, it does have a PTS and a PTC (Paid-to-click) side.
Viewbar
Myecom.net has a viewbar. This is not something you need to download onto your hard drive. Rather, it's in Java (probably javascript) and is activated as soon as you log onto the main page. It's fairly small...one-banner width, and can float wherever you want it to. Every so often (maybe 10-15 minutes) it has its idle-protection, where you have to click a number in order to proceed. Considering there is no requirement for this bar to be on top (heck, you can minimize it and it will still work), this isn't very intrusive at all. Points accumulate for this viewbar every 30 seconds...and are updated in real time right on the bar (a nice touch).
How many points do you get and what are they worth? I'm glad you asked, because it changes by the minute. A flat rate of 500 points are given every 30 seconds, but that 500 points is multipled by the click ratio. For example, at this very moment, the click ratio is .007 (or .7%) so 500 x .007 = 3.5 points that I get every 30 seconds. The click ratio is determined by the number of ads clicked on, divided by the number shown. Two interesting notes here
1) Clicks count everywhere...on the bar AND the website.
2) This ratio is systemwide. This means everyone's...not just yours. Therefore, if people are clicking away at the moment, chances are that ratio will be high, and EVERYONE at the time will be getting more points every 30 seconds. I've gotten as many as 13.5 points every 30 seconds...as you can see, that's a lot higher than 3.5 just now. So a lot of it is luck as well.
I think the goal here is for everyone to contribute to the success of myecom.net, so everyone shares in the rewards, or lack thereof. They are distributing 70% of their income.
But how much is each point worth?
Again, this can change. Myecom.net posts revenue as it comes in, and this will increase the value of the point (so they don't promise money they don't have, unlike most companies). But, as points are earned, this is obviously diluted.
From discussions with older members, it seems that the average is ~30,000 points = $1. Now, if you've read the above carefully, you can't really place a "$/hour" on the bar, since that can fluctuate radically.
Pay to Chat
Yes, you can get paid to chat in the chatroom. It's not a great chat-room...you can change text color and play some sounds, but you can also earn points when text-ads pop up in the chat window. This happens every 10 minutes or so. A base 4,500 points (currently) are given, then multipled by the system-wide click ratio...and this is given to those that have been actively chatting (usually those who haven't been idle since the last ad). It's a nice little bonus...I've gone from 120 points to ~47 points in a single session...all depends on if people are clicking or not. The rooms aren't very busy at all...maybe a few people discussing other PTS programs, so it could be a good source of information, tips, and tricks. (one tip...make sure everyone is clicking!)
Get paid to click
Myecom.net has that too. From the homepage, there are "channels" that you can click on that give you 5 points when you do. I haven't seen any content in them yet, but they do give out points. There's a 5-point search field as well, which generally yields no results, but gives you 5 points. So those are other point generators as well.
This program pays by pay-pal, as well as check. Minimum payout is $25. I have not been able to find if this is a US-only program or not, but I know people in britan have received payments, so that's a good sign...this site really needs some work.
I'm sure there is more to this site than I've even mentioned here, but this is a good start. For earning money, it's probably as good as any other PTS company out there currently, thanks to advertising rates plunging. But you'll have to see for yourself if you can make use of the other features as well.
