It does lay almost flat and has an infant insert. It's probably better than average for a small baby but I suspect there are better strollers for newborns. I didn't use mine when our baby was an infant, so I can't say for sure, sorry.

Very thorough and detailed. I also appreciated the attached pictures to see the stroller in action. I was wondering though, if you thought the stroller would be suitable for newborns. I was hoping to use the stroller very soon after the birth of my child this coming May.
