Zone Alarm is a free firewall utility. You can upgrade to Zone Alarm pro for enhanced protection for a small fee. The only drawback to the program is that it doesn't work. I used it for a while, and other than getting in the way i didn't notice a difference. People could still detect my ports, and my ip adress. As far as i know it didn't stop any incoming traffic, it just told me that it didn't understand what was happening.

I also quickly became annoyed with having to allow every one of my programs acces throw Zone Alarm. IT does however make you feel a little bit safer, so I guess if you wanted to get it for your paranoid grandma you could do that... and make her feel a bit better.

It may be good for corporate use but if you don't really care just don't download it. Its free afterall what's there to lose?
