Religious Camps DO NOT Equal Boring

The Bottom Line Religious camps are great camps for kids, they will not only learn about the Bible and right from wrong, they will have a lot of fun!
Many kids hear the words church camp and immediately think, it won't be any fun, they are going to preach to me the whole time. Not true. When I was young I went to two different church camps and had a great time at both. I even ended up being a counselor for four years at one of them. They do have their preaching time but usually it is not preaching. It is an activity, a skit, something fun that the kids can be involved in. Then there is usually a free time or game time something that is just fun, nothing religious attached to it. The camp that I worked at had a pool, miniature golf course, gym, game room, snack shop, a craft room, a lake, all sorts of fun things and every day the kids had about an hour and a half to do whatever they wanted. The other camp had a pool and a craft room also. I have never heard of a summer camp that didn't have a pool! If your child is saying I don't want to go to church camp but you would really like to send him/her to one, call the camp and ask about the activities that they have there and let your child know about all the fun stuff there is to do and that it isn't just "churchy".
