I picked up my Gillette Fusion about 2 months ago where it was being introduced in a Walgreens while I was on vacation in Florida. It came with a mail in rebate that brought the price down to only $4 so I said what the heck. Afterall, I had always used Gillette razors and been very satisfied, and the commercials for the fusion were impressive.

I have always wondered when this all this addition of blades is going to end by the shaving companies. First there came the double blades, then the triple, some now have four blades, and the Fusion comes with five (plus one more which I will mention later). With an astonishing total of six blades on the Fusion, it feels like a car that has added loads of horsepower.

The ease of shaving is considerably better. I had been using the Mach 3 razors, which I always liked, but when I made the switch to the Fusion, the way these five blades mow down my stubble is so much easier. I really think the shave I am getting with the Fusion is as close as any shave I could possibly get and have yet to have any sort of cuts or irritation. The ultimate shave.

However the real reason I love the Fusion is for that single trimming blade. The fact that this one single blade is placed on the edge of the head of the razor allows it to get into some tough areas like under the nose, as well as be precise in some areas like maintaining sideburns, your mustache, or any other facial hair. This is a revolutionary idea for razors and I think from now on you will see this popping up elsewhere.

The bottom line is that the Fusion is would be the best razor out there based on the five blades alone. This gives you a fast smooth shave. However what makes this razor truly unbelievable is the single trimming blade which makes shaving much quicker and gives your face a fresher more clean cut look.
