Order Placement - I placed my order with Baby Universe in early March. I received an e-mail back that I needed to call a customer service representative to get a quote for shipping. They were currently having a Free shipping special. Because my husband and I are military and serve overseas shipping to our FPO (based in California) was not free. They told me the shipping would be almost $50 for Parcel Post. Parcel Post to us takes 8 - 10 weeks. Because safe car seats are hard to find here, I agreed to pay the $50 shipping even though it seemed a bit excessive. On March 16th, $271.33 was charged to my credit card by Baby Universe. Overall Order Placement was not too difficult, but it did require more than one phone call to talk to someone that could answer my questions.
Delivery Speed - Its May 25th. I talked to a customer service representative last night and was told my car seat was returned to them. They would check on it and get back with me. Of course no customer service supervisors were available to talk to me. They were busy. This morning I received an email stating they could not have the car seat to me by next week which would put them at ten weeks for delivery from the time they charged my credit card. I called another customer service representative to cancel my order. I was told that the car seat was never shipped to me and that they would have to ensure the it hadn't been before they could refund my money.
Order Accuracy - They did get this right. They knew that I had ordered a car seat.
Customer Service - The person answering the phone had limited knowledge on the overall process. Every time I called supervisors were unable to talk to me.
Overall satisfaction - I was charged for a car seat over 9 weeks ago and it was never mailed to me nor was I contacted that there was a problem. I have a child that is on the verge of outgrowing her current car seat and no new seat on its way. Would you be satisfied?
