Pros: The ability to record 2 shows at the same time is the killer feature.
Cons: The documentation is not the greatest.
The Bottom Line: If all you want to do is Tivo-like functions, you'll like UltimateTV. There's no need to mess with the internet with UltimateTV. Poor documentation!

| guidice's Full Review: Sony SAT-W60 DSS System with UltimateTV |
Once I got the DirectTV portion of my system working fine with a standard DirectTV receiver, I was ready to tackle my UltimateTV system. Once I turned on my service, everything was working great for recording the programs. I quickly recorded several programs and ran the playback, fast-fwd and rewind features. This part of the system works great! I connected by DVD player and VCR to the receiver assuming I could play them through to my TV. After combing through every piece of documentation in the box, I never could figure out how to do it. I ended up bypassing my new Sony UltimateTV receiver to play my DVD player and VCR. Also, I never was able to get my video camera to play through the front video inputs. There does not appear to be an interface to select video inputs on the receiver.
