I have experienced about first seek an existing idol electric guitar tone few years ago and second seek my own tone nowadays.
The playability, the stile, the tone, all things must be considered when you're choosing your instrument/sound.
This test is helpfull... but the experience is much more !

thanks for the headsup
i wish i knew what to look for in high end acoustics which i could never afford but my favorites are vintage D-18s and 28s, santa cruz guitars, Martin J-40M, and a Gibson Hummingbird
