Obviously, rosenbaumfan doesn't know what a story is, or he has never seen the Godfather trilogy. NOW THATS A STORY!

This is very funny, and very wrong. I have always thought,"The Godfather" would be the best. Other movies would be,"Deep Cover","Scarface", and "James Bond Movies" (Mafia is fluent in the Bond movies).

Whoever wrote this is a complete moron and has no knowledge on this genre. The fact that you did not include The Godfather Trilogy (best gangster movie ever)in this list just makes this peace of crap you call a list, unworthy of my time. Also the fact that you did not bother to mention movies such as: The hoodlum, The departed, Donnie Brasco and American Gangster. After this you have written, you should give up in life.

Evidently according to ROSENBAUMFAN'S list of Greatest Gangster Movies. Gangster Movies and or movies in general, did not exist before around 1980.
Hence movies like "The Godfather", "Public Enemy",
"Angels with Dirty Faces", "Scarface" (the original),
"Key Largo","Little Caesar", etc. etc. don't exist in Rosenbaumfan's universe. Pretty sad. Obviously when he said that story was paramount, he neglected to say that for his list Black and White and or anything made before he was born were automatically not worth considering.
