Here's a copy of the letter that I sent to them...it tells the story:
Tom & Mike,
First of all, let me explain that as a business owner, I understand that customers are much more likely to send a note of complaint when they are dissatisfied than they are to send a note of praise when they are pleased. When a vendor performs in a stellar fashion as you have done, I feel compelled to share the experience with that company.
I had actually placed an order with a local wholesale flooring company, only to find out that the flooring that I had ordered was on back-order, and wouldn’t be available until mid-June. I found this out on the Monday prior to a 3-day weekend. It was important to me to get the flooring delivered prior to the weekend, so that I could get the bulk of the work done during that time.
I started searching online, and your company came up very close to the top of a “Google” search. I read some of your recommendations, and I called and talked to Tom and Mike. After you promised that you could have the flooring delivered by Thursday, I took a chance on the color as represented on my computer screen and I placed an order for about 850 square feet of your Rustic Elegance full-plank 10.2mm V-groove laminate with foam backing. The next day, I called the trucking company as you suggested to find out when to expect delivery. The dispatcher told me that the delivery would be made on Wednesday around noon!! I was amazed at how fast you were able to get a pallet full of flooring to my homeԴ days from order to delivery. Wow!!
We brought the flooring into the house and let it “acclimate” to the house temperature and humidity. Friday night we pulled all of the ¼-round and started laying the planks. My 14-year-old son, his 15 year-old friend and my 12 year-old daughter helped me, while my wife worked on refinishing the trim. I used a radial-arm saw for the cross-cuts, and a table-saw for the rip-cuts. I tried to use a router table for some pieces that required multiple intricate cuts, but the material is so hard that it dulled the router bit after a very short time. I ended up using a conventional jigsaw for those cuts after that. The AC4 wear layer held up very well during all of the cutting and installation. We had a few small chips when using a pull-bar, but nothing that trim wouldn’t cover. We laid the final plank on Monday morning. Keep in mind that this was over 800 square feet in 5 different rooms (lots of cuts). I bought some furniture grade oak planks from a local wood craft shop and made several transitions, some rather intricate. We also replaced some trim, so that had to be finished and cut to fit. Anyway, as of 9:00 last evening, the job is complete!!
This was my second experience in laminate installation. I was very satisfied with your product and your service. Thanks, and expect referral business.
