I purchased the Ding King to remove 4 dents the size of quarters on my Acura RL left fender. I bought this kit from Pepboys for 19.99+tax=21 bucks and some change. I followed the instructions to the letter and was able to pull out one of the dents-but not entirely. I left the Hot Glue Gun on so I can pull out the rest but the gun stopped working!!!! After a half hour of playing with the darn thing, I was able to get a little more glue out for the next dent. The trick was to keep pulling out the stick and reinserting to allow the glue to heat up in the nozzle area, but this left a goopy mess ALL OVER the gun. I figured whatever just as long as I can pull out these dents t would've been worth the 21 bucks. Again following all of the instructions, the dent wasn't fully lifted and I noticed that the clearcoat had been pulled of in that area too! I continued cautiously to the third dent after the gun cooperated a bit more and was able to pull out the dent wihtout peeling off any clearcoat. After 1.5 hours, I was tired of messing with it and called it a day so I inspected what I had done. The dents were still visible but smaller(actually looked uglier because of the missing clearcoat on one dent and also I noticed that the areas where the two pads on the bridge contacted my car MADE DENTS!!!!) Not only did it minimize my old dents but it peeled off my clearcoat and made NEW DENTS!!!! I guess I should've left well enough alone instead of trying to save money. I probably have to take it into the shop now to fix it!!!
