Could be better.

Pros:Good sound
Cons:No balance control. No auto-reverse. Poor low volume range.
The Bottom Line: This could have been a good product if they ever would have talked to a user. But they didn't and so it isn't.

It seems all mini-systems come without a balance control but few have dolby-B for the cassette so I went with the Yamaha GX-500 anyway. I sure miss the balance control. Another problem which one cannot predict from their literature is the volume control at low volumes. The volume adjusts in discreet levels and there is quite a gap between their lowest volume and zero volume. Be aware of this if you listen a low levels like I do. Also note that the cassette does not have auto reverse. Also, it is difficult to tell which way the tape is running.

An additional problem is setting and arranging the preselected radio stations. It appears they arrange themselves in order of frequency, not user preference. The controls are not arranged in intuitive fashion. To see an example of a simple yet functional remote see the kloss table radios.
