Great Prices, Great Customer Service, Shipping Department Not So Good

i found baby bungalow while doing a google search for an item that i needed. i was looking for a travel bag for my son's car seat so i could carry it like a back pack for our cross country flight this month. baby bungalow had the one that i wanted and it was the cheapest i was able to find so i ordered it. they stated same day shipping for orders placed by 3 pm est. i placed my order the morning of the 1st.
after placing the order i received an email confirmation right away and later that day was also sent a UPS tracking number with an EDOA being the 5th. however, yesterday (the 7th), i realized the item was not here yet. i checked the tracking number and it was still stating billing info received. which of course means it has not been shipped yet. i sent an email last night asking them if the item was even in stock and when it would be shipped. then, taking the direction of others, i called at 8 am and left a message stating i wanted to place an order. an hour and a half later i received a phone call and an email. both were very friendly. the email stated "i'll check out your order and get back to you. thank you!" the woman who called was very nice and stated that it indeed looked like the item had not went out yet, so i asked if i could cancel the order and she said sure. that she would go downstairs and get the item, cancel the order, and refund my money to my card. if there was a problem she would call me back. she was very nice the whole time. a few minutes later she called back and stated the she found the item and would cancel right away. she was still very nice.
so there you have it. i guess the customer service department has gotten better since the other reviewers have written. everyone was nice and my only beef is that the item didn't ship out when i was told it would. so on that note, i'm a little disappointed about not having the item. my flight is on the 14th and i still need one of these bags. i can't order one and have it in time unless i pay $25 for 2 or 1 day shipping. and that's the price of the bag. so now i have to go all over town today and search for one. ggrrrrr. i wish i had read the reviews before i placed the order.
right after i wrote this, i got an email from someone else stating the item was out of stock and would i like to be notified when it would be back in stock. i guess that explains why it was never shipped. would have been nice if they had let me know this 8 days ago when i first placed the order.
