General comment about Sprint local/long distance.

Pros:Only game in town in Tallahassee for local phone service.
Cons:Rude employees, switch without asking, misbilling etc........
The Bottom Line: Why deal with a company who tries to scam you out of money.

I live in Tallahassee and the only provider for local service is Sprint. I tried them for long distance because the rep gave me this big song and dance about how I would save money with them. NOT!!!!!! It costs 29.98 for 300 "free" minuets. If you go over your minuets then it is .10 after that. Ok, the 300 minuets aren't free if you are paying 29.98. That averages to about 10 cents a min. Anyway, I called Sprint after two months of having the service, and told them that I didn't want their long distance anymore. I had called my local service and they said that it was no problem to switch. I told them that all I wanted was basic service with call waiting and line guard. Again, I was told that it wasn't a problem. I get my bill, and I am still charged for them. I called again, and they said that I still used the service. That MCI didn't switch me. That was a lie because MCI said that they did, (I remember because I got all the welcome to MCI paperwork), but I was switched back. Sprint denies it. They also tried to tell me that I had them as local toll, so that is why my plan didn't change. I DON'T call in my local toll area, so that doesn't matter. I even told the associate that on the phone when we were trying to figure out what I needed on my line.
Ok, whatever so I get my bill yesterday...still charged the 29.98 for the long distance that I didn't use because I have MCI now. I got a bill from them three days ago. I called sprint long distance and the lady gave me a hard time about credited saying that I needed to tell my local company (which is Sprint!!!!!) to contact them and get rid of the plan. It is ridiculous. I have had NOTHING but PROBLEMS with Sprint. I have only talked to a couple of helpful people from there in the five years I have lived here.
