A Native Iowan Also (Reply to this comment)

I was born and grew up in Iowa!
My car seat was a gift, and my almost three year old can basically scramble in and out of it, regardless if the chest strap (the paperclip kind) is fastened or not. Its very annoying and dangerous. Thanks for your review, it was very very informative - I had never heard of that brand before.

I never imagined... (Reply to this comment)

...a review of a car seat could be so comprehensive! I saw the price of the seat and wasn't too shocked, from what you wrote, one might think it'd be higher.
I have to say I was very intrigued with the 5 point harness description, the puzzle buckle. A 5 point restraint is what is used in most race vehicle applications today, from F1 to dragsters to Nascar. I guess it is no surprise that the technology has migrated to childrens car seats.
Thanks for an excellent review!

Darla-
I have struggled with every single car seat I've ever had to hook up and always end up with twisted straps or mismatched buckles- unsafe, to say the least. This one sounds like something I could handle- and I'm sure the little one appreciates the lack of 'hard things in my back'...Mark

Thanks for your comment. I am not sure I know what you mean by funny characters! I don't see anything on my end. Can you give me an example and I'll try to fix it!
Thanks,
Darla

Very helpful, but.... (Reply to this comment)

you've got a lot of "funny characters" strewn throughout your text, presumably artifacts of whatever editor you used to compose this review. If you could update the epinion to clean them up, it would be easier to read.
We have the Britax Roundabout (similar to the Freeway, but can be used rear-seating) and I would concur with your assessment: it's a great seat and you pinpointed its advantages nicely.
