Gillette Shaving Accessories For Men.

Nov 26 '01

The Bottom Line just read it

Intro
If you're like me, then you're probably very picky about what goes near your face, and what doesn't. You don't want to get a razor that'll chop up your face, and then put on after-shave that'll leave you burning for hours, because of all the cuts. And when you do put on your after-shave, you don't want to have to splash a whole lot on, to be able to smell your chosen scent. This is where Gillette comes to your rescue.

Gillette Mach 3
Of all the razors out there, Mach 3 has to be the best I've used. Sporting a aloe strip for lubrication, that also acts as a indicator strip, 3 razors, and a convenient storage that you can keep replacement razor heads in, Mach 3 has grabbed my attention, and kept me hooked from the moment I started using it.

For an example of how good it is, I'll compare it to 2 bladed razors. I've used many brand name, and non-brand name disposable double bladed razors. Each one, after a few weeks of use, became to dull to continue to safely shave my face with.

Then came the mach 3, which I've successfully used for 2 months, without having to replace the razor head. Each shave has left my face feeling baby soft, with little or no nicks and cuts to be had. Not to mention, the blades are still very sharp, so I can use the same head for my next shave, and know that I'll get just as close a shave as ever.

Gillette Shaving Gel
Gillette also has Shaving Gel for Men, that is recommended with use of the Mach 3 razor. This gel comes in many different scents, and is a must for any shave with the previously mentioned product.

Gillette Shaving Gel is Aloe Enriched, and is very soothing, and cost-efficient. It only takes a small amount(about less than a nickel size of gel), to foam up my whole face. Plus, with a big can of it costing about 2 to 3 dollars Canadian, it's very cheap.

I use Gillette Shaving Gel, with the Wild Rain scent, whenever I shave with my Mach 3. The added lubrication from the Gel, helps to keep the Mach 3 from turning my face into something that you might see at a butcher shop, plus the aloe leaves my face moist, keeping chemicals in the water, from drying out my skin.

Gillette After-Shave Gel
After each shave, I also prefer to use Gillette After Shave Gel, Wild Rain scent. I especially love using this product, because it doesn't take but a dab(pinch of gel) to totally refresh my face, and give a strong scent out.

One regular size bottle has the potential to last me at least a year, because of it's potency and effectiveness. Gillette After Shave Gel(Aloe Enriched), not only makes you smell good, it helps to keep your face moisturized. Especially if you're like me, and you have harsh chemicals in your water, that may help to dry your skin out, specially in this cold weather(I'm a Northern Canadian, Eh!).

Outro
So, if you're looking for good shaving products, try out the Gillette Line of Shaving Accessories. Including the Mach 3 razor, which costs around 8-10 dollars Canadian, in Wal-Mart, refills for it cost anywhere from 10-17 dollars Canadian, depending on how many razor heads come in the package you buy, Shaving Gel, which costs about 2-3 Canadian in Giant Tiger(prices will vary from store to store, and I'm listing the prices based on where I got them from, not by average of what they cost in every store), and finally, After-Shave Gel, which costs around 6 dollars Canadian. Each product I highly recommend, and frequently use.

Also, if you're looking into women razors, you might check out the Gillette Venus. Which is basically a Mach 3 for women, which comes with a convenient storage piece, that can be attached to the wall of your shower, so you can just grab it and shave as you're taking a shower. The razor heads are easy to replace, and come in seperate little plastic packets, that open easily. The Venus costs around 10 dollars Canadian, and replacements can be bought anywhere from 10 dollars to 17 dollars.

My girlfriend uses the Venus, and loves it to death. Each head lasts her about 2 months, before she has to replace it. She also finds it easy to hold in the shower, and the ability to hook it up to the shower wall, makes it easier for her to keep track of it. Unlike other razors, that are usually moved from one end of the tub, to the other.

Well, thanks for reading my review, hope you liked it, and will read other reviews that I've written, take care, and au'revoir for now.
