| bootovr's Full Review: Dell Latitude CS |
I bought a Dell Latitude CSx in the beginning of 2001 for about $1500, and I'm glad to report that I'm very satisfied with my purchase. I installed windows 2000 on this baby, and it runs perfectly. The laptop has a power save feature, what that means, if you are doing ordinary task, the processor will not run at the full speed, only when you need the extra power, (playing games, Graphic design)the machine will use all of it's resource. This technique makes the battery last twice as long on trips and when you’re away from the office. But that is nothing, what makes this laptop great, is it's accessories. I've acquired a Docking station for this laptop, and now, this is not a laptop anymore, but a full blown portable office. With the docking station attached, this little toy takes on a completely different look. The docking station has everything, from the built in SCSI controller, to 2 PCI slots to add devices. I think that makes this unit become a great home office computer, which can be taken anywhere you go. No messing with a computer, and a laptop, transferring stuff. Just have 1.
In conclusion, The lightweight design, additional accessories, & Excellent Dell support and reliability, makes this a great buy.
