The Bottom Line Read my review to find out more!

I bet many of you dream about owning something like a Ferrari or Lamborghini. The truth is, most people want these cars for the looks, and not the performance. Well, many of us normal folks are cut away from buying these cars by money restrictions. Well, what if you can get behind the wheel of a Ferrari 348TS for $5,000, or drive a Lamborghini Diablo (Older model) for $20,000? Well, it's called car replicas.

-What Are Car Replicas?-
*Exotic car replicas are cars that are made to look like the real thing. Some models look nothing like the original, and with some others, you can't tell the difference! Most of these cars are built on Pontiac Fiero frames, which can be purchased dirt cheap. Anyway, I saw some of the good replicas, and I simply couldn't tell the difference between the real ones and the fake! The prices range from sub-$10k to the $30k+. Here is what you should know.

-The Bodies-
*The bodies are fiberglass, and they are simply put on the donor car frame. Some bodies look great, and some look way off. Get as many pictures as you can, or see a finished turn-key. Compare it to the real thing. The more expensive cars look more real than the cheaper ones. With the bodies, you can buy all the logos you need. You can easily find Ferrari parts and emblems. You can also find Lamborghini parts and emblems easily too! Most are after-market.

-The Interiors-
*I have seen some interiors that were modeled after the real thing, and you simply can't tell the difference. The most beautiful replicars that I have seen are Ferrari F-355 Spyder replicas. The good ones that go for around $27k have leather interiors, identicle dash, nice clutch, Alpine CD-Tape-AM/FM, etc... Plus it has the steering wheel with the prancing horse logo in the center! Sometimes it may be nice to buy replicars with empty interiors, so you can buy after-market parts and have someone put them in.

-Engines And Transmissions-
*The types of engines that I have seen in these cars range from little 4-cylinders to V-6 and V-8 engines. The most commonly used engine is the V-6. Once again, the cheaper cars have the smaller engines, and the more expensive ones have the V-8s. So you may be concerned with performance. For instance, take a Ferrari Testarossa replica. Good looking turnkeys can be purchased for as little as $5,000! The engine is a 4-cylinder though, nothing compared to true Ferrari performance. Have you ever heard of street racers? I've seen people convert 4-cylinder Honda Civics into cars that are faster than Ferraris for only a couple to a few thousand dollars. So yes, you can have the Ferrari performance that you'd crave from a replica. It isn't that expensive either. The transmissions commonly used are automatics, however you should just buy a nice looking clutch and shift box for the best and most realistic looks.

-Kits And Turnkeys-
*There is a big difference between a kit and turnkey. Let's first start with the kit. In the kit, what you get is the fiberglass body parts, and any accessories that come with it. This means that you have to provide the donor car, and either assemble it yourself or with the help of a mechanic. Turnkeys are replicas that have already been built, and are ready to drive off from the factory! They are more expensive though, but in many cases, worth it to save you the hassle.

-In Conclusion-
*So, you can have a Ferrari or Lamborghini for much less money than you expected! It's not the real thing, but if you do things right, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference! Some replicas look just like the real cars! But remember, you have to be very careful. Look at as many websites as you can, and see if their are any dealers in your area.
