Not the real thing... (Reply to this comment)
by castlevermin
The replica cars just look like the real thing; they are the equivalent of a fake Rolex. Even if their looks are spot-on, they are not as powerful as the real thing, not as safe, and don't handle as well. Moreover, they will be less reliable than production cars, and harder to fix, because many parts will be custom-fabricated.
For your money you'll be getting a sculpture with an engine. The replica won't be good at what sports cars are really for - driving.
There are tons of fun, exciting cars available for under $30K - get one of these instead and drive.

I Own A Replicated Honda Accord (Reply to this comment)

Great review. I thought you were just going to say you can't...if you've only got $30 G's to spend, dream on. Not a bad idea though for those who into the status quo, without the attached $$$ quo.
Hmmmm....how good would I look in a Ferrari replica, with a blow up Britney Spears doll, snuggling up to me and a plastic toy cell phone to my ear?
Regards,
The Gasman

Intriguing concept. Ha, ha, I thought you were going to say someone could buy a Ferrari with their epinions' earnings.
Never mind. Great editorial.
