| prettyrain's Full Review: SoBe Beverages |
I first tried a Sobe drink by mistake.. a friend of mine had been recommending some other sort of herbal fruit drink and when I saw the pink Sobe I thought that was it.
It wasn't what she'd recommended, but I didn't care. I was addicted immediately. The beverages (I'm reviewing the Lizard Line specifically) all contain skim milk and cream(although I have seen some made from soy milk). They've also got fructose, filtered water, natural flavor, lactic acid and the various herbal supplements.
The Lizard Line has four varieties of drinks...
Blizzard: White, coconut flavor and tastes like a pina-colada. My daughter's favorite, though she can never finish a whole bottle () at once. It contains echinachea (immune system booster), zinc, and vitamin C.
Fuel: Pink with a banana and strawberry taste. This is my second favorite, and my usual drink before I asked John to stock the Tsunami.) Contains astragalus (immune system boost), yerba mate (energy) and Siberian ginseng (energy and circulation).
Lightning: Yellowy-orange with a fruit punch sort of taste, like orange and peach juice mixed together. Citrusy and light. Contains
guarana (similar to caffeine, energy), ginseng (more energy), wolfberry (amino acids) and vitamins A, B, C and E.
And my favorite --
Tsunami: This is an orangey drink that tastes exactly like a creamsicle. Yummy! This contains yerba mate, guarana and creatine (amino acid for muscles).
I love the Tsunami so much I asked the owner of my local convenience store to start ordering it. I promised I would buy one at least every other day. He ordered it, and I've been drinking it regularly.. I asked him if I was the only one buying it and he told me no. While that's great for them and for Sobe I kinda feel possessive of the bottles at the Daisy Mart...
As a fun plus, there's a goofy message inside every cap. "Mounties eat lizards, don't they?" "I want to hold your lizard," "Have lizard, will travel," "Sobe wan Kenobi" and "Why gum a gumby when you can lick a lizard?"
