1998 is the birthdate of this beauty--you expect you'll buy it and by 2001 it will be so obsolete you'll be happy to toss it--NO WAY!
this is the first time in my life I have something of such antiquity which is still cutting edge.
The DVD is perfect--watch a movie--(okay, maybe the sound volume should go a bit higher--but--)
the 64 mem is still acceptable; the speed is nothing to be ashamed of--and the price is worth dancing about--I love this computer--it is better than my hand built office one, and btw comes with a D drive on which I've (shhhh) loaded Mandrake which works--(save for the fact the lucent winblows modem does--but question for geeks--is a lucent win modem a modem?)
those who bought this in 1998 are probably sure they've walked into the twilight zone for brand new puppies are still in the CD-ROM stage--
buy it if you can get it! You won't be sorry
