Pros: Broadband speeds, super voice quality, compact size compared to 7250.
Cons: Speakerphone is distored at top volume. Some may not enjoy the smaller keyboard.
The Bottom Line: Its lighter, smaller, faster and looks better than the last generation BlackBerry. You just cant get the internet at a faster speed on a mobile device.

| focusboy0383's Full Review: Blackberry 7130e |
Well I have been using my BlackBerry 7130e for a few weeks now and would like to share some of the things that I have found. The best feature over the 7250, or the last BlackBerry model offered to Verizon customers, is the smaller size. Some people out there may complain about how they might have lost a little of the screen size or how the keyboard is more compact but for me I can now carry a mobile office device on my side without feeling like I have a tv with a satellite dish attached to my hip. The screen as I said is a little smaller than the 7250, but its a smaller phone. I personally think the screen is better quality anyway. The keys are an easy adjustment as I still use two thumbs to type. It is small enough that you could use just one hand if you were good enough.
The network connect is awesome as the EVDO feature lets you connect to the internet at broadband speeds where available. I live in an area where it is available so it makes for nice surfing on the device.
The voice quality is amazing as I can drive down the highway at speed, with my windows down, and still have a normal conversation with someone. I can't say the same for the speakerphone however. At top volume, the speakerphone gets distorted and twangy.
The software to link to a computer comes with the phone and is easy to use. You just install and its ready to go. No complicated instructions.
The battery is average for the device but charges amazingly fast. At half life it fully charges in 5 to 10 mins.
With all that said, its a nice phone by BlackBerry and it really provides people with a mobile office. Fast internet, easy to use BlackBerry wheel, bright screen, good voice quality. If you are looking for a Blackberry and cant make a choice between the old model 7250 or the new 7130e. Its really no contest. Pay the extra $100, it is well worth it!
