My experience with Preferred is typical of everyone else's. They had a noticably lower price than every one else (a Fiji V10 dig camera), but I checked their prices on xD picture cards, $250 for 512MB, that's more than the cost of the card. That's suspiciously high, but I ordered the camera anyway. The next day I got a call asking to verify my mailing address, then, the salesman indicated that the camera ships with a disposable battery only, and that if I order now he can save me a lot of money. (They wanted I think $59 for a rechargable battery) I never buy things without first researching, so I told him I was in the middle of breakfast and that I would call him back.
The I looked at the Fuji manual for this camera and it clearly indicated that it comes with a rechargeable battery, so I realized that the sales guy lied to me.
Now I have received the camera and the packaging is suspect. There is an area on the box where a sticker was removed, and the contents of the box was not packaged well. I am suspicious that it is a refurbished model that they sold as new.
In the future I will be a better consumer and research the company first, before I buy.
