I haven't been part of the Epinions team for long. Started in the summer to have something to do while I stared at a computer screen at work. I wrote about what interested me, beauty products, school advice, misc products. I became an avid reader/writer/rater. A new found community which I was a part of. As an English major, I liked being able to write and see my writing. As a human, I liked to see my WOT list build as the months went by. As a college student, I wrote about which I knew which resulted in my Top Reviewer/Editor in Education something which made me proud. However, in the past few weeks I've noticed a lack of interest on my part to write. I just don't have that "feeling" anymore. I don't check the site everyday like I used to though I still try to read Education reviews. Part of this lack of feeling is simply living the college life and not having enough time. With finals that just completed, I didn't think about anything else other than exmas, exams and more exams. Another reason is simply all the hoopla and drama that goes on at this site. With all the changes, the spirit of the Epinions community has been dropping. I like to think of myself as an eternal optimist, but I too have simply been disinterested. And with that, I must say good bye. Or perhaps see you later. But until I have time and the need, I won't be writing and rating. I'm leaving my reviews up there because I think they're still effective especially the education reviews, but I won't be contributing anymore. It's been a fun time and I'm glad that I got to read the likes of some great and wonderfully witty people. Thank you to those who have read my work and who have trusted me and left such glowing compliments. The best of luck to you all and a joyous holiday. Starcrossedkat, over and out.  |
