I have had Nextel... JUNK. Cingular which I thought would be better - JUNK. WORST reception ever! I was a bit leery with US Cellular, I didn't hear too many great things about them. 3 months ago I got the 1000 mins for $39.99 plus I pay the $5.99 for nights and weekends. Nights starting at 7pm. It's free INCOMING calls all week long. Anyhow, the most important think I did want to put in here however is how great the reception is! I always have full bars. I think once when I was in a store, I had a hard time talking with the last line. I am in the NW suburbs of Chicago, if that at all helps you. I know when I lived in Indiana, I found some sites that said which areas were best for what service. Anyhow, Stay away from Cingular in this area.. TERRIBLE! Nextel has it's good and bad days. Most of the problem was dropped calls, or calls not going thru, but yet mins used. Plus they are more expensive. However miss the direct connect. But US CELLULAR it's free to other customers. I also purchased the Motorola V323 phone.. GREAT phone!! Loud enough, and after rebate was only $30. Not bad. But excellent phone. I do suggest a cover for it though.
