Why would I want to save $300? I like wasting money.

The Bottom Line Bottom line, if you want to spend $300 more, be my guest, and you will be a fool.

OK, first of all, this review is based upon my one and only experience with Expedia, so if you want to leave a comment about how I cannot form an opinion based upon one usage then be my guest, but I am going to write anyway, so there.
hehehe
Anyways, now that I have used up my one rude remark per review quota, I guess I had better settle down and be (semi) serious.
A friend of mine that I work with at the Chart House decided he was going to travel this summer. One problem with working in a restaurant in Florida is it is EXTREMELY seasonal. During the winter, when all the (old?) people in the country want to get out of the ice and snow, they bring all their money to Florida, and we in the service industry live like kings for about 4 or 5 months...and then they all go home for the summer and take their money with them.
BOO.
HISS.
As much as I hate driving (and riding a motorcycle is even worse) when they are here, I really need the cash that they bring with them. So what is the best thing to do in this situation? Budget your money during season so you can pay your bills through the summer? No way, Jose - we are gonna spend it all and then starve and live on Credit Cards, then when season comes again it will take most of the money we make to pay off our bills from the summer, and then next thing you know the viscous cycle is repeated....
OR, the other option is to go to New York for the summer and make money from the old people all summer after they have returned home from the heat of Florida for the summer, and they think they are safe. But think again, because Chad is now in New York, baby.
Anyways, I am sure you are asking what this has to do with Expedia, and what my experience is since it is my friend who left for the summer. Well, first of all, he isn't exactly the most computer savvy person you will ever meet in your life. As a matter of fact, I helped him set up a Yahoo email address before he left and had to teach him (4 times) how to check it so I can keep track of him while he is gone.
SO, when he wanted to search the internet for airline tickets (this is where Expedia comes into my story....bout time, huh?), he naturally came to my house to have me help him.
The first place we tried was Priceline.com - you know, where you tell them how much you want to spend and they try to find tickets in that range for you? Well, the cheapest we could get a round trip ticket from Fort Myers, FL to La Guardia (3 weeks in advance) was like $550, or somewhere in that price range. Forget about it.
So I was talking to one of my other geeky friends, and he sent me to Expedia and said that I would find a good deal there. Well, let me just say that the service was easy to use. It took all of about 8 minutes and 37 seconds (rounded off to the nearest tenth of a second, of course) to find a round trip ticket for $210, enter my credit card number (did I mention he has bad credit as well and that is ANOTHER reason he needed me to help him get a ticket?), and have the flight booked.
The tickets were mailed to my house 2 or 3 days later (sorry, I am bad with exact times), and he was on his way. His flight was flawless and he is in NY as we speak. Now as long as he gets home OK I will not have to edit this review and say how crappy Expedia is!
