I purchased a lovely Epson Stylus CX5400 awhile back and after the included Epson ink ran out I began to purchase online from 123inkjets.com. The shipments arrived quickly for the most part and were just a fraction of what my ink would cost name brand so I was ridiculously happy. Imagine my surprise when a few months later my printer would no longer print magenta. I cleaned and cleaned but to no avail. After reading and rereading the owners manual and calling the company I learned about what happens when you put CHEAP ink into your printer. There is a reason the other stuff costs more! The cheap ink clogs the delicate jets of the printer and dries rock hard and no amount of cleaning can remove it. Whatever you do.... don't leave your printer on. Shut it down as soon as you are finished printing to minimize the danger of this regardless of the type of ink you are using. Make sure you shut it down using the printer's power on/off button and not a power strip. Anyway, I used it for black and white printing after that and when a friend tried to use it for color I noticed it no longer had much yellow. (It requires color cartridges to print in black and white)On my last order I decided to save a lot of money and buy a bunch of cartridges together and spent over $50. This shipment took over 2 weeks and the ink is virtually worthless to me now that I know what my problem is. I would feel guilty trying to sell it to somebody. I'm sure they value the color features of their printer as much as I did! Use at your own risk!
