Lots of brands but some still stand out for taste (Reply to this comment)

Thanks for the helpful review and tips on tequila selection. Although recently there has been several new brands, one artesenal 100% agave tequila I recently tasted and truly enjoyed was Tequila Don Weber (www.tequiladonweber.com). Their extra anejo still has the agave flavors even though it has been rested in oak barrels for 3 years.

Salud!

I think its time for you to move into the realms of less "mystic" brands, and do the research yourself. Shure, who can go wrong praising Don Julio, Herradura, Porfidio, Cuervo, or Sauza? Well, most people DO go wrong with them. When you find great tasting tequilas that DO NOT give you a throbbing headache, upset stomach and slimy tongue afterhalf a bottle, you will know and FEEL the difference Im talking about here.

And the brands I mentioned above, and most YOU mention in your article, unfortunately...DO.

Good work, man.

I printed this review and took it with me tonight to the package store.... man, the deadbeat clerk and the local old wino were giving me looks like I was the society misfit as I checked "my notes". The kid wanted to know if I was a state spy or a mystery shopper.

Nope - I told him I had the secret to the perfect New Year's Eve - and I wasn't sharing.

Thanks for making the liquor run a bit easier this year! Happy New Year!

...but was too afraid to ask! Thank you for the excellent information.

Sadly, none of your favorites are currently in my liquor cabinet, but now that I know better I'll have to give them a try.

Thanks again and Happy Holidays,
