Well, this year I did not have all that muchos food during New Year's, though I think I really ate too much during Jan. 1. There's a nice way of having a leftovers day!

I like the idea of just having a day to eat all those leftovers!!

I know it's a long time til the next one, but I enjoyed your informative review a lot.

Heres to the next one!

Oh, I know it has helluva lot of stuff in it. In my family we don't add sausage. C'mon, it's New Year, we don't go cheap on New Year. I make it every New Year, but don't ask me to recall all the stuff that goes in it. I remember that only one day a year: Dec. 31.

I'll keep in mind no vodka for you. Happy Holidays, Ed!

Yeah, Some Like It Hot. Have been watching it every New Year for as long as I remember. Every other New Year they show Sounds of Music and Home Alone. Oh, and almost every New Year [Jan. 1-3] they show Back to the Future trilogy.

Weird, aye?

but have a Happy New Year's Tree for sure.

Yes, Finn, that salad is called Russian Salad and it's in the Gourmet cookbooks as such. And, it's not all sausage, onions and pickles, either. It takes a heap of (expensive) rare roast beef among other things. I've made it for fancy parties many a time in my younger days.

Happy holidays,

Ed

That's pretty weird, I must say. Fun reading this, though I expected you to say 'bah humbug!' at the end. :-)
