Inventory and customer service suck

I agree with most of the reviews here...their customer service sucks. I ordered a work bench and a vise on their web site. A week later, a post card arrives in the mail (I have no idea why they didn't send me an email) saying the bench was no longer available. I ordered a second bench. A week later, another postcard arrived saying the second bench was backordered. I sent them an email asking them to cancel the bench. They responded back confirming that it was cancelled.
A week or so later, the vise arrived, but it was missing the handle. I sent them an email, and they gave me an order number for the missing part. Three weeks later and no word from them and no part. I sent them an email asking for the status. They said the part is backordered and gave me the expected date they would receive it, which was 9 business days from that day. Three weeks later, I again contacted them, and again, they gave me a date that was 9 days from the date I got the email.
Meanwhile, I get a call from a shipping company saying they have a delivery for me from Harbor Freight. I'm thinking it is the handle. They ask if someone will be home to receive it. I ask if it is necessary. They say they like to have someone sign for a 200 pound package. It turns out that HF shipped me the bench I had cancelled 2 months previously. I told the shipper to return the item. At first HF only returned me the cost of the bench, but not the shipping. Eventually, however, I did convince them that it was their fault that they shipped the bench, and they did return the cost of the shipping, too.
As for the handle for the vise, I have gotten a total of 8 ship dates from them, all of which have been 9 business days from the date they sent the email. I pointed this out to them, saying they were feeding me a line of crap. They claimed it was just a coincidence. 8 times is just a coincidence. Yeah, right. It has now been 6 months since I placed the order, and I still don't have the part.
To summarize, I have absolutely no faith in HF Online. I ordered 3 things and all 3 things were in one way or another backordered. They make up dates for when the backordered products will be arriving. I give Harbor Freight Online a big thumbs down.
