| mrmet's Full Review: Sony SAT B55 Satellite TV Receiver |
This model IRD from Sony delivers Directv programming options to your home like many other IRD's from other mfgs. but unlike the others here you have one that gives you a lot for around $100 . You have S-video , 2 A/V outputs , signal seeker LED, 12 event VCR scheduler , VCR controls , one button tuning , one button record , favorite station guide , and channel icons . There are always promotions being run when you buy a Directv system like free basic installation . My advice is to wait a while if this promotion is not in effect . Installation for any additional IRD's usually will cost at least $50 each so be prepared . Professional installation is the way to go since a self installation kit also costs about $50 .
