Make a Stopover at the USB Hub - the BUSlink USB Hub

Pros: Auto-installs, cost is about equal to a longer USB cable, stackable
Cons: Minor - would be neater if cables exited from the rear

...that touches on all meaningful points, ergonomic and technical. Probably the most important of them is this: as you state, USB support really is not very reliable under W95 OSR2. I think this is partly a hardware generation factor as well as an OS factor.

I do know this: when someone calls to ask me to set up their USB scanner, and they have the above combination and don't understand why it doesn't work, I can pretty much tell them. I'll try anyway, but we're probably SOL.

Venus and Alex make their signature utterances (a whistle, and 'hi!' respectively) to Pebbles.
