Pros: Excellent picture & sound, helpful special effects, great remote, reasonably priced
Cons: Only one digital output (coax), The NUON isn't really useful for games, only special effects
The Bottom Line: If you are looking for a great multi-featured player with some neat special features and a excellent picture this is the player for you.

I have been quite impressed Toshiba 2300 as a mid-range dvd player. I have it hooked up to my 27 inch Sharp through the s-video and the picture quality is excellent. It also offers great, clear sound, a easy to use remote, etc... The NUON capability provides some neat things you can do such as zoom in 16x on your favorite dvd 16x with great clarity, you can also see up to 10 thumbnail shots of the next scene, save a still as your screensaver... I haven't tried it yet for games. I really have no complaints with this player other than the lack of digital audio outs (only 1 coax digital out, no optical).
