…That our beloved(?) Epinions.com is chock-a-block full of "spyware?" Hover your mouse over any ad banner, and look at the status bar at the bottom of your browser. Lo, what will you find? "ad.doubleclick.net" as part of the banner’s web address. Click on the banner, and behold, what will happen? All future mouse clicks get recorded by DoubleClick.com, a notorious purveyor of "spyware, and, incidentally, one of Epinions.com’s financial backers…
…Unless, of course, you use AdAware (as I do), in which case, DoubleClick is stopped in its tracks.

After reading your review, I will be sure to give Ad-Aware a try.
I've used some Ad-blockers, but they only remove ads from web pages. I may be surprised to learn how much spyware resides on my computer.
